His grandsire is Zippos Mr. GoodBar and he is out of a foundation bred mare. Affectionately known around the barn as “Buddy”, Buddy is a fancy broke, super SMOOTH, easy, and push button show/arena gelding. Buddy is Mr. Steady Eddie!! If you are looking to get your feet wet and show in the all-around, or learn the ropes in the show pen, – Buddy is for you! This guy is seriously so enjoyable to ride – he knows his job and will leave you smiling ear to ear. Do you suffer from back or neck pain – and still want to enjoy all three gaits? Buddy is ultra-smooth and incredibly comfortable – and loves to go slow and steady.  His jog + lope are TO.DIE.FOR – you will want to lope for hours! He has been shown by a youth and amateur rider, and has some AQHA points in showmanship, trail, pleasure, and western horsemanship. He is a showmanship machine, is super smooth, naturally low headed, and has a spur stop. His lope offs are seamless, he pivots easily, and will side pass to work a gate. Buddy is so incredibly broke – he can go with or without a bridle. He easily navigates around on a draped rein and is great for the pattern classes. He can go as slow as you need him, and can also move out for the EQ or Hunter Under Saddle events. He will cruise over the bridge, and will take you right through the pond without hesitation. He wants to be quiet minded, but can feed off a riders nervous energy out on the trails so a confident rider out on the trail is recommend. He really shines the best in the arena! He has no lunge prep, get on and go kind of ride. Can sit for awhile and come back honest.  Buddy is forgiving of a rider’s mistake, and is very patient. Really sweet, kind eyed, laid back gelding. He wants to go with the flow and loves attention from his people. Buddy trail rode downtown and rode at Sonic with a teenager and never missed a beat. No buck, no rear, no kick, absolutely no vices. He has great stall manners, and is a good boy in the pasture. He stands tied, is easy to catch (walks straight up to you as he is eager for attention), loads, and clips. Buddy has been barefoot the last 8-9 years with zero issues, and has good legs. He has no history of health or soundness issues.  Never injected a day in his life, he has a current coggins, fall shots administered, and has a current dental on file with my equine dentist.  I sold this gelding to a repeat client of mine Fall of 2020, and he was a great starter show horse for their children. They have recently decided to get into dressage – and are selling out on their western horses. He arrived back to my barn in excellent condition and has been in our program for a few weeks now with no issues. Truly, he is a lovely gelding – someone is going to adore him!
