Tuxedo

2009. Grade Paint. 14.3HH. Gelding

$9,500 - SOLD in an hour!!

“Tuxedo” is a reliable, easy going, and SAFE gelding for any level of rider to enjoy. Tuxedo is a grade paint gelding, born in 2009, standing a solid 14.3HH. He is a super cute black and white tobiano ranch gelding that has a broke-broke like handle and a “been there done that” kind of mindset! Tux has a fantastic neck rein; he is so easy to ride that he can go bridleless! He would be the perfect first horse for a family, or great confidence booster for young, old, or timid beginner rider. Sit back, pitch the reins away, and enjoy the ride -Tuxedo knows his job and is as sure footed as they come out on the trail! He is an honest trail blazer all day long, no obstacle is too hard for this guy! Tux is one of the sweetest geldings in the barn, with the kindest eye and laid-back personality. He has a good whoa, side pass, picks up his leads, works a gate, pivots, and has super smooth gaits that are not hard on your back! Tuxedo waits for his riders’ next cue; he is never hot/jiggy/in a rush. NO buck, rear, bolt, kick, crib, weave, or any of that nonsense. Turn him out for a month and ride him off without hesitation! He is honest, requires no lunge prep, and does great if left off for a few months.  He rides out quiet alone, or with a group out on the trail and does not argue when needing to cross over bridges, down in gullies, through water, or over fallen tree branches. Tuxedo is a pleaser, he wants to go with the flow, and is incredibly FUN to ride!

Tuxedo has a great resume! He has been a lesson horse in the past, will ride English/Western, has been ranch used, and has been on overnight camping trips. Push cattle on the ranch, sort mamas/babies, or check fences; he is one that can go all day long without a fuss. He is easy to catch, handle, stands for vet/farrier, quiet for mounting, picks up all his feet, and loads easy onto the trailer. We took him trick or treating in town on Halloween, and he was not phased one bit by all the traffic, people, and kids dressed in costumes. He actually was soaking up all the attention that the kids were giving him. The only thing we have noted about him is that he does not like tarps flapping around or on him. He is not spooky walking next to banners, but something about carrying a tarp is uncomfortable for him.

He will thrive in a family atmosphere where he can be doted on by kids, getting lots of horse cookies and love.  He is barefoot, no injuries/scars, and has no known medical/soundness issues. He can be turned out in a pasture, or stalled, and gets along great with others.

He has a current coggins in hand. Recent trimming, and dental on file!  I sold Tuxedo back in November to the sweetest family in Kansas, where he was a kids trail/starter gelding! He was adored by them, and he was an Saint for their kids-  unfortunately, the wife lost her job and they are needing to liquidate assets for financial security-  that is the ONLY reason he is for sale again.

If you are looking for a truly gentle gelding, that can be left untouched for months and come straight up to the barn and ride off honest 100% - Tuxedo is your gentlemen! This gelding would be perfect to have around for the weekend trail ride, grandkids, or guests to ride. Terrell TX/ Shipping available nationwide.
