“Riley” is a lovely double registered (AQHA/ solid APHA) all around prospect. You will be hard pressed to find a mare that is as well-bred AND thickly well-made as this girl. She has a big hip, kind eye, and fun personality to get along with. She is by Art I Sweet, who needs no introduction, and out of a Raging Impulse daughter.

Riley could go any which direction. Finish her out as a classic Ranch Rider, double in those hunter classes, or navigate around a horsemanship/trail course.  Riley has a great jog and a comfortable rocking horse canter. She wants to be slow legged and quiet, but can also move and extend out. She has been started over poles, has been over a cross rail or two, and also goes over the bridge for the trail classes. She pivots, backs, picks up both leads, and collects into the bridle. Riley has been ridden outside the arena and is attentive and intelligent. Out on the trail, she crosses water, walks over logs, and rides in between gullies. This classic bay mare has poise and substance that will get you noticed in the ring. She is still green, and will thrive with a confident ‘leader’ as a handler/rider.  She keeps getting better and better with each ride, and is eager to please.

Riley is a good girl and has no bad habits/vices. She is a breeze to clip, stands tied, loads onto the trailer, and stands quiet for farrier/vet. She does have a fly sensitivity and is adjusting to Texas climate (originally from the Coast in CA). She will need to wear a fly sheet during fly season. Riley keeps a tidy stall and is also fabulous in a herd environment. She has solid black feet (easily kept barefoot) and has no history of any soundness issues. She is 5 panel Negative (documented). With impeccable breeding like this girl has, she is just destined to be in a show home!
