“Oliver” is a double registered gelding by Certain Potential out of a Sudden Impulse mare. He has all the fancy show buttons, and has been shown in showmanship, western pleasure, horsemanship and trail. Oliver is such a sweet gelding, he is the biggest cuddle bug, and gives the best hugs! This gelding is spur trained and is super easy and uncomplicated to ride. You don’t even need a bridle to ride this one, just use your voice, seat, and legs. He can navigate a horsemanship and trail pattern and is great on the long line with verbal commands. One hand neck rein, a flying change, superb out on the trails, bombproof, super smooth ride, and a gentleman to handle on the ground. The kids love his “pitter patter” type of jog and his rocking chair lope. He ground ties, clips, bathes, easy for vet/farrier, and can be handled/ridden by kids. He has no vices, stables well, or pastures with a herd.

Oliver would make a great starter show horse, 4H, family/trail horse, husband/guest horse, or would make a great addition to a lesson string. He has been hauled, seasoned, and exposed to the show pen, flags, tarps, dogs, cattle, atv’s, tractors etc. He goes through water, will jump over logs fallen on the trail path, and will walk over bridges. The video shows his 2nd time being rode in a 4 month time period. Although he has only been ridden a dozen times in the last few years, he could easily be tuned up and return to the local show ring.

He requires some maintenance which is reflected in the price. This gelding is bred royally and has twice the asking price in pleasure training invested in him! Oliver will not pass a flexion test due to slight navicular changes shown on current x rays, which are available to view.  He requires egg bar shoes with pads in the front. He has never been injected and is currently not being given any daily supplement/meds.  Although I do think this boy could benefit from injections, previcox, and a joint supplement.
