Sweet as Sugar!

"Sugar" is the family horse everyone wants to own. Her name says it all, with a kind heart and a forgiving personality she makes for a lovely 1st horse type. Standing a stout 15H, this 2006 AQHA model is sired by Lenas Sugarman (Doc O’lena). She quickly earned her title as “trusty and reliable family horse” – and has been used for guests to ride around the ranch for many years. Rest assured, she will always bring back your inexperienced yet gung-ho husband safely on those trails too. This is one grandma can still enjoy, and not have to worry about any shenanigans! Sugar is a horse that can sit for months during the cold season, and come up and ride gentle like she never missed a day.  Sugar will happily ride out alone or with a group safely and quietly. She doesn't mind leading the pack, and she certainly doesn't mind if she falls to the very back. She takes her time and carefully will cross water, she will trek through mud, cruises over bridges, and navigates over fallen branches.

She is a been-there done-that kind of mare - with no bad habits or tricks up her sleeve. Throw her in the trailer and hit up any trail with confidence – I can only attest to how honest and kind this mare is especially in new environments. She thrives out on the trails, but will putz around the arena if you want to trot + lope! I wouldn't call her a show horse by any means – as her buttons are very basic yet simple for anyone to handle. Her gaits are easy to sit and she will happily move out when asked! She has a neck rein, but will also ride two handed too! Sugar isn't fazed by much - atvs, cattle, tractors, wildlife, tarps, flags, even TRAINS... None bother her! She is not a spooky horse at all, and sports a "I don't care" personality. No buck/rear, with superb ground manners. Sugar loads, ties, is easy to catch, etc. She rode downtown in busy traffic like an angel and has proven herself incredibly SAFE. I have not found a single vice. 

Sugar has a recent dental float on file, current Coggins, UTD on farrier care (she's Barefoot) and deworming. She is an easy keeper, requires no special maintenance, and is easy for the vet /farrier. She has been very sound and healthy. She has not had any babies and is not “marey”. At the end of the day, Sugar is a safe choice if you want your husband, granny, or kids taken care of.
