“Roany” is a straight forward, easy-peasy, kind, and uncomplicated trail/ranch horse. If your fast riding days are over, Roany is the one for you. Roany has a desirable, comfortable, and slow pitter patter jog and a one hand neck rein. He rides well alone or with a group out on the trail and does not argue when needing to cross over bridges, through water, or over fallen tree branches. Roany not only loves to trail ride but he enjoys arena riding as well and has a great handle at all three gaits. He will work a gate, pick up his leads, side pass, and has a good whoa. Roany was a former ranch horse, so he is no stranger to pushing cattle or checking fence lines. If you need one super safe and forgiving - this guy is the man for you.

Out on the trail or in the arena he is never in a hurry to go anywhere, and is content at whatever speed you ask him for. I think we all can appreciate good, solid, and seasoned geldings that can be left untouched for months and come up to the barn and ride off gentle 100% -  Roany is one of those types!  He has many more years of trail riding and ranching ahead of him, so don’t let his age fool you! Geldings that have the bone, substance, and structure like Roany, last forever! No soundness issues, but he is 23 - Id like to find him an easy kinda life.

Roany is missing some teeth and should not be fed long fibrous hay  - he does best on cubes/pellets and then a senior feed (I like Renew Gold).  He stands tied, picks up all four feet, saddles/bridles easily, loads in the trailer, great for vet/farrier etc. Roany has had his teeth done in the last week, just had all his shots/coggins done, and feet are UTD. Roany has been a reliable trusty family horse for several years, and now its time to find him a soft landing spot. Could you be Roany’s next family? Geldings like this with his price tag don’t last long on my webpage…so scoop him up today! This one has wisdom beyond his years.

I will be picky where he goes. Special preference to a grandma/grandpa that wants a super safe horse to putz around on, easy trail rides, pony rides for the grandkids, light arena riding etc. I want to find him an easy and loving home - if you will not let him live out his days with you, please do not contact me.

Roany is located in Terrell TX. Shipping can be arranged.
