“Roany” is a straight forward, easy-peasy, kind, and uncomplicated trail/ranch horse. If your fast riding days are over, Roany is the one for you. Roany has a desirable, comfortable, and slow pitter patter jog and a one hand neck rein. He rides well alone or with a group out on the trail and does not argue when needing to cross over bridges, through water, or over fallen tree branches. Roany has an excellent brain and has absolutely no bad habits. Roany not only loves to trail ride but he enjoys arena riding as well and has a great handle at all three gaits. He will work a gate, pick up his leads, side pass, and has a good whoa. Roany has been roped off of, has pushed cattle on the ranch, sorted, and has been ridden by kids. He trailers out wonderfully to new places and isn’t a spooky horse.

Roany is great for riders that aren’t so sure in the saddle and maybe don’t have a whole lot of riding experience. He would thrive in a family atmosphere and enjoys horse cookies! Out on the trail or in the arena he is never in a hurry to go anywhere, and is content at whatever speed you ask him for. I think we all can appreciate good, solid, and seasoned geldings that can be left untouched for months and come up to the barn and ride off gentle 100% -  Roany is one of those types!  He has many more years of trail riding and ranching ahead of him, so don’t let his age fool you! Roany requires no special maintenance, currently being fed alfalfa/grass hay and a senior grain topped with electrolytes – that’s it! He stands tied, picks up all four feet, saddles/bridles easily, loads in the trailer, great for vet/farrier etc. Roany has had his teeth inspected, just had all his shots/coggins done, and feet are UTD.
