Broke to death BARREL HORSE? Say what?

You heard that right. “Venom” is a gorgeous 15H, 2015, AQHA, sorrel mare with a long lush mane/tail. Venom has the sweetest personality, and has the kindest eyes. The exhilarating feeling of riding this mare is beyond what words can describe – she is truly such a FUN ride! Bred in the purple, with On the Money Red, Shoot Yeah, and Jet of Honor ON her papers. This mare is extremely broke, soft, and light in the bridle.

With her catty and wrappy turn style, this mare is incredibly quick footed and FAST. Owners have hauled her for the last year, and haven’t even tapped into half of her potential. This mare WILL be a top 1D/2D barrel horse at the big races with a quiet rider. Currently she clocks in the 3D, and is just loping. She is the Cadillac version of horses, and is a smooth operator on the flat & around the barrels. She has been lightly started on the poles, and trots a nice set. Venom is BROKE-BROKE; she collects, has shoulder/ribcage control, moves her hips, pivots, side passes, and has a punchy whoa. You could slap a pair of sliders and spend a month teaching her how to rope and turn her into a punchy breakaway/heel horse.

Venom does not have any bad habits/vices, and has been started very correct. There is ZERO buck, rear, bolt, bite, kick to this mare. Venom is very willing with a HUGE heart; she cruises over all the obstacles including the big bridge.  We have ridden her bareback all over the pasture, and she even will go swimming in the stock pond on a hot day! She has been ridden in covered arenas, down town, indoors, and outdoor pens.  In my opinion, she is broke and fancy enough to do the Western Dressage gig.

Rest assured, you can lay her off for a month and bring her right back where you last left her. Venom is very gentle, but best enjoyed by someone who can ride an athletic horse with buttons. Not suited for a timid beginner. Venom jumps right into the trailer, and has a good brain off property. She is easy to catch and stands tied quietly. She isn’t dangerous, nor is she spooky, but she does have a pulse and is alert – given this, I do not consider her bombproof. The only negative thing I can pin on her is sometimes she can give the farrier a hard time picking up her feet. She is UTD on care. Papers, transfer, and coggins in hand. No known health/soundness issues, and never been injected. She is shod, fit, and has a beautiful bloom to her. This is a NICE young mare; she has had a great start and is ready to go on and win for you. Run her now, breed her later. High school rodeo? Step up horse? All -round best friend? Options are endless for this nice mare.
