“Xander” is a gorgeous, athletic, and inquisitive dun gelding who is looking for his next person.  This AQHA registered, 2008 model stands right at 14.2HH. He has been bred, owned, and raised by the same family since he was a baby. This pretty gelding is quick, catty, and really wants to please. If you like them super capable, handy broke, and responsive – this one is for you! He always has his ears perked, and is ready for any job you have in mind. Xander is a curious fella, that likes reassurance from his rider.  Xander has good ground manners, he loads, ties, bathes, stands to be saddled, good for vet/farrier, and is easy to get along with in a herd. He is always the first to greet you in the pasture, and is a sweet gelding to get along with. Xander rides soft in a snaffle, dog bone Dutton bit, or a Jr Cowhorse bit! He is insanely comfortable, picks up both leads, collects softly into the bridle, slides on whoa, pivots, side passes etc. He was brave on my obstacle course, trying his best when being asked to cross the bridge, teeter totter, walk over logs, and sure footed down the trail. He loves water, and does not hesitant when walking through ponds. He is a gentle gelding, but I would not consider him a bombproof / deadhead, and given this, a confident rider would get along with Xander the most. Xander has never offered to buck, rear, bolt etc. He has no vices, and is not cold backed.  Xander would make a fantastic barrel, penning/sorting, ranch riding, western dressage, or ranch gelding! He is a sweet boy, and has a lot to offer. 

Xander recently had a dental float by a licensed dentist, current coggins, shots, always barefoot, and he is an easy keeper! Xander is CLEAN legged, and has never had any soundness issues! Take him any which way, he certainly is insanely athletic and capable to do it all! Xander has lived a very easy lifestyle, being a leisure/ pleasure horse for an older couple. Unfortunately, his owners are wanting to downsize their herd, and hate to see him sitting around in a pasture.
