$5,000 - SOLD
“Miss Piggy” is a gorgeous dappled buckskin AQHA registered mare born in 2005. Standing a true 16 hands tall this mare has massive bone, size, and stature. Miss Piggy has a great disposition – she is so kind, friendly, and loving. Not to mention, ain’t she gorgeous to look at?! Miss Piggy has some of the oldest foundation lines in her pedigree – Pig Creek Roan, Colonels Freckles, and Hancock. Nothing is “spooky” to her and she takes everything in stride. She is good with traffic, tarps, balls flying at her, has seen cattle, deer, etc. She will trail ride anywhere, go through any terrain, and never hesitates when being asked to go over logs/bridges or through water. I bought Miss Piggy about 2 months ago to add to my broodmare lineup, but with the drought my pasture is dead and hay prices are sky high, I am needing to cut back. This mare is seriously GORGEOUS – she has a baby doll head, a sweet expression, the hair gene (gorgeous mane/tail), and a great brain. This mare has NEVER offered to buck, rear, bolt, spook etc. I climbed on her straight out of the pasture, after raising babies for 4 years and there was not a single hump/buck to her. The worst she does is jog off instead of walking. It is very comfortable/slow more like a western pleasure jog. Her eagerness to go forward may intimidate a total newbie rider. Prior to her broodmare years, the story goes that she was used in a kid’s camp and we can confirm that she will trot around the barrels/poles for funsies. This mare has had several colts and is a wonderful mother. She can be pasture bred or AIed easily and has no foaling complications. She stamps her colts with size, color, and brains. Miss Piggy stalls easy and can live out in the pasture, and is low man on the totem poll. She is easy to catch, stands tied (although will paw at the ground at times), clips, bathes, easy for vet/farrier, and loads/backs out of a trailer. Loves to wear her size 81” blanket and be groomed, spoiled, and doted on. Miss Piggy has great feet, and is sound/healthy and is currently shod upfront but could go barefoot. She has an old windpuff on her front leg which does not affect her soundness. I would love to find Miss Piggy another family where she can continue to produce big/beautiful babies and or pleasure/trail ride around the farm/arena. She is certainly large enough to be a husband horse as well. Sells open to breed next Spring. She has a current coggins, papers/transfer in hand, recent dental float by my dentist, and she has been adjusted by my chiropractor. Miss Piggy is located in Terrell, TX and shipping can be arranged anywhere affordably.
