Montando Rip is a 2006 drop dead GORGEOUS AQHA registered dapple grey 16.2 hand gelding. "Ripley" is HUGE and has the sweetest most gentlest personality ever. 
Words cannot express how much I adore this gelding! Everybody at the barn has goo-goo eyes over Ripley; his personality is just striking. He is absolute eye candy and has a set of papers to die for. Did I mention he is a dapple grey?! Grandsire is the legendary Dash for Cash and he is bred Beduino on the bottom. I have ridden dozens of racebred horses and he rides nothing like them. Ripley is quiet - laid back - never hot/jiggy - he is just the perfect gentlemen! Ripley rides gentle and quiet out on the trails or in the arena. He is very sure footed out on the rough terrain and will never take a wrong step. He has been used as a ranch horse checking fences and dragging calves to the branding pit. He has been pasture roped off of and has tracked the hot heels a few times. Ripley enjoys his job and is such an affectionate gelding- if he could come inside the house he would! ;)  Ripley is so quiet (as close to bombproof as they get!!), broke, safe, solid and just easy easy easy! Ripley is being schooled over fences and is very brave and bold up to some of the scariest jumps! He needs more work over fences but with more finishing touches he would make an excellent jumper or eventer. He sets a good pace out on the trails and also has get up and go in the arena when you ask for it. Ripley will ride collected like a western dressage horse or turn him loose and ride him one handed on a drapping rein. He has a wonderful lofty big stride that dressage enthusiasts would just die for. He will pivot, roll back, catch his leads, side pass, and ride in a snaffle or full bridle! He is steady eddie at the walk/trot but his canter can be a bit forward and intimidating for some due to his big stride and large size. He would also make a bang up barrel horse- he is bred to run and has a solid foundation wouldnt take long to pattern him and have him cruising a nice pattern! Finish him on the barrels or head side- he can do it all! This gelding is all business when it comes to the serious stuff and can easily dial it back down for a relaxing weekend trail ride with friends.   He handles the obstacle course like a champ and is such a fun horse to ride around. Has had the rope swung off him, ridden in traffic, through the herd- he has been exposed to just about anything and everything. We even rode this gelding the night of the 4th of July!! Whether you are looking for another jumper, ranch, trail, western dressage, heading, or barrel horse- Ripley is your guy. He would make an incredible fox hunting or police horse as well! Ripley has sturdy four black hooves, thick bone,  is well put together, royally bred, and just has a wonderful temperament.  Gets along great in a herd and is an easy keeper.
