If you are looking for an unflappable trail blazer that you can put on autopilot and enjoy the view, Cardi is your queen!
This jet black, 2015, 14.3/15H, APHA registered mare is a been there done that kind of gal. Cardi loves a great adventure and will go anywhere you point her towards. She is husband, youth, and wife safe on any trail/terrain and will bravely lead the pack on the trail. NOTHING spooks her out on the trail, and I seriously mean NOTHING. If you want something with no hump up, kick, buck, cold back, etc – Cardi has your safety in mind. She stays gentle 365 days a year no matter how much you ride her. Hello weekend trail blazer! She formerly was used as a drill team & ranch using horse. She carries the flag, checks fences, pushes cows, sorts mama/babies, steps over logs, you can throw a rope off her + drag a log around.
Cardi has a ranchy turn around, she pivots, side passes, is handy to work a gate, and has a good neck rein! She packed my novice husband around safely for a 4-hour trail ride at a State Park and really impressed me with her willingness to new obstacles. When being asked to cross creeks she would politely step through them, and when being prompted with a bridge she quietly walked over them. Cardi has had a lot of exposure off property – from going to different rodeos and doing grand entry, to weekend trail rides, ranch versatility clinics, and drill practice! Out on the trail she has had exposure to all sorts of wildlife: cattle, deer, foxes, etc! She has even been in parades and rides through town with busy traffic calmly. You can take her out riding alone or with a group just fine. She is not a nervous horse and is exceptionally well minded.
She gets along good with other horses, loads, ties, bathes, stands for mounting, and is great for the farrier. She is barefoot, sound, and is an easy keeper. Current coggins, APHA papers in hand, UTD on all care. She has a small sarcoid under her barrel near her udder which does not affect her at all. She can live outside in the pasture and is respectful in a stall. She is not "Marey" at all. This gentle mare can suit a variety of riders! When I have guests in town, she is the first horse I pull out of the pasture for them to ride around! Ride her or raise some babies out of her – she surely will stamp them with her excellent demeanor and thick bone! Here is a fantastic gentle mount for all your trail blazin' desires!
