He has also been used as a practice head horse for a boy, and is extremely quiet in the box and faces well. Drifter has a lot of power in his engine when asked, but he knows when there is special cargo on his back and goes into babysitter mode. Drifter has been ridden in parades, trail ridden countless miles, done obstacle challenge events, used as a Grand Entry Flag horse, drill team, participated in working EQ activities, and has been sorted off of. Simply put, he is a ‘jack of all trades’!  Drifter has a big lofty stride, and has the best rocking horse canter that is suuuuper comfortable! He rates well off your seat, neck reins, pivots, side passes, works a gate, backs, catches his leads etc. Hauling is a breeze for this guy, he eats/drinks/poops well on the road, and he handles new arenas like a pro. Drifter is the best trail riding horse, he has a perky pep in his step, and is eager to go through water, over bridges, up hills, over logs etc. Aside from his professional resume, Drifter is a real personable gelding. He enjoys grooming time, cookies, and lots and lots of scratches (and kisses!).

 

Best part is, he has been owned by an equine veterinarian for the last few years. Drifter has received only the best care, and has been impeccably well cared for. He had his teeth, shots, and coggins done May of this year and is ready to hit the road! All paperwork and transfers are in hand. Drifter has great hooves and has been successfully performing barefoot for many years. Drifter is very sound and healthy; the only maintenance he receives is hock injections 1X a year when he is being hauled to competitions regularly.  He has clean legs, no major scars, no injuries, etc. He doesn’t require big bits, spurs, or tie downs.  Drifter has done everything imaginable under the sun, and has been a star asset to his family, he has successfully completed his job packing around his youth rider (who has sadly outgrown him) and is now ready to show someone else the ropes!
