2005 15H. AQHA Mare
Appropriately named, “Brownie” is one of a kind. This gorgeous dark bay mare has the prettiest head and baby doll eyes. “Brownie” is bred in the purple with some of the best names on her papers. This is a versatile all around mare with a fancy handle on her. The two things I enjoy most about this mare are her willingness to please and smoothness in her gaits. She is a 10++ mover with an incredibly comfortable jog and lope.
Brownie rides soft and supple in her face, knows haunches in/out, picks up her shoulders, and is push button. Brownie guides around nice one handed and has a ranchy turn around. She can side pass to work a gate, drag a log across the pasture, and is handy around a trail pattern. Stops on whoa and will ride around with a string around her neck. Brownie will pop over little fences and is strikingly cute English.
Not only does this beauty ride both English and Western, she also loves to hit the trails! Trail riding comes easy for Brownie as she never hesitates at an obstacle and will easily go through thick brush, up/down steep hills, and through water. This is a sure - footed mare that does not question her rider’s cues. She has never offered to buck, rear, bolt or do anything heinous with a rider.
Brownie is a stall princess and keeps her stall neat and tidy. She loves her blanket and is totally food motivated (hence her barn name). Very easy keeper, teeth recently floated, and has a current coggins. Brownie is sound, clean legged, and does not have any bumps/scars on her. She has never been injected.
Brownie is best suited for a rider that enjoys a forward ride and knows how to use their legs/hands. This is a fancy broke, fun to ride, and incredibly feely mare. Brownie has had one beautiful bay foal and is a lovely mother. Breed her, trail ride on her, or take her back in the show pen. She’s bred the best to do it all and is currently shiny, sleek, and in shape.
