Conquista Gun

2012. 14.2H. AQHA. Mare.

$20,000

Swing a leg into heaven, at least that’s how it feels riding this gorgeous golden palomino mare! By 2.6-million-dollar sire Conquistador Whiz and out of a Gallo Del Cielo daughter this 14.2H 2012 AQHA mare has a pedigree packed with the greatest sires in history. Dolly is SO fun, she is always the first one I pick to ride!  With a fancy reining handle on this gal, there isn’t much this mare can’t do! Wherever we have taken this mare we receive so many compliments on her beauty and quiet mind. You can cover miles of trails on her one day and show her the next.  This mare stays broke and correct regardless of living at home or with a trainer. Dolly is the textbook definition of versatile, and she wears it with pride. This mare carries a flag beautifully, and is truly a 1 hand bridle horse. Dolly has even been started on the hot heels and has had a rope swung off of her. She has been backed into the box a handful of times and is very quiet scoring cows.  As a baby, she formerly had some cow horse training and has a lot of natural cowsense to her.  She has a pitter patter jog and lopes around beautifully in frame. She will go around soft, quiet, and always attentive but never over anticipating your next cue. I can see this mare being very competitive at the local all around shows and SHOT versatility shows! I bet this mare would kick butt in the western dressage classes too. Your opportunities are endless! Dolly is not a hot horse by nature, but has the get up and go if you ask for it. This mare ENJOYS having a job and is always eager to please. You can side pass her over a log, maneuver a gate easily, spin/pivot, and she is rusty on her flying changes (need polishing). She rates off your seat and will stop on a dime every time. You will be able to navigate any horsemanship pattern with her easily with her 1 hand neck rein. She even will collect into the bridle for the Hunter Under Saddle classes! You can turn her out for 3 months and bring her up with confidence knowing she will ride as gentle as you left her. Go check the cows, check the fence lines, and trail ride the back 100 acres – she has seen it all. This mare has been hauled ALL over – she has trail ridden in Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Arizona, the Catalina Mountains, Missouri. She never hesitates when being asked to go through water, over bridges, she is sure footed on rocky terrain, and careful down steep hills. Dolly is a seasoned pro off property. She travels and loads easy.  She is traffic safe and even had a train go past her -which she handled great! Her ground manners are superb – she waits on you as you get on, and stands quietly as you adjust your stirrups/pants. Dolly requires no lunge prep, grab her from the pasture and go! Dolly is honest, reliable, and has no vices. She pastures or stalls well, and can be a little mare-y when in heat. Due to her finesse in handle, she will do best with a sure rider that is confident in their cues/seat. She can be a little lookie in new environments which makes her not a good match for a total beginner who cannot be a leader in certain situations. Buy with confidence! Dolly sells with a recent Pre-Sale Vet Exam on file! She is 100% sound with no health issues.  She has a scar on her back right leg that is cosmetic only. UTD on coggins, shots, and dental.  She has had one foal in past years and is a wonderful mother. Dolly will be an asset in anyone’s program, whether that be from the standpoint of showing, trail riding,  or broodmare.  She is located in Terrell, TX.
