How CUTE is this guy?!  

This blue-eyed gelding has that “it” factor everyone is looking for; beauty, athleticism, versatility. Best part is, its wrapped up in one fancy package.  Standing a compact size of 14.2HH, born in 2013, this grade gelding affectionately goes by the name “Casper”.  You know, like the 1995 movie… “Casper”? He is JUST as gentle, personable, and cute as the movie!

Casper wants to ride around like a fancy reiner. Nose to the floor, hooked up on the circle, soft, supple, and he will bury his butt in the dirt when you say whoa. If you like a smooth ride – you need this pocket size gelding!  Casper knows how to get underneath and use his body – he would make a phenomenal calf roping, heel, or breakaway performance horse. Formerly a 4-H all around horse for a handy youth, he was ridden English, did the playdays, western rail, halter, horsemanship classes, etc.  He will trail ride, pop over small jumps, putz around low level dressage, and has been used in some parades. Casper wants to be soft and correct in the arena – he will ride in a ported bridle 1 handed or 2 handed in a snaffle.  I just LOVE how smooth his gaits are – he offers a dreamy jog that you will want to sit all day long. Easily adjustable in all 3 gaits, Casper will move out willingly and always comes right back to you off your seat. He is the perfect in between – not too too forward and not lazy where you have to work super hard to get him to go.

Casper is extremely gentle; he has ZERO buck/rear/bite/kick/etc. There is not a mean bone in his body – and he will not get cold-back if he sits for an extended period.  Out on the trail he grooves best with a confident rider that can help him in uncertain situations. He is 100% gentle, but is not going to babysit a timid/beginner rider out on the trail as he can sometimes look at things. With an assured rider, he walks through water, navigates over bridges, steps over logs, and is very careful with his foot placement on the trail. We rode him downtown in between heavy traffic with loud trucks/trailers/cars and he didn’t miss a beat! We were out on a group trail ride and someone's horse got away from them in a 40 acre field and Casper was asked to step up and run/catch the young horse  - to which he handled like a seasoned vet. Casper gets along wonderfully in the pasture with others. He stalls easy (great manners), is easy to catch, loads/hauls fantastic, loves bathes/grooming, clips, ties, and will greet you at the gate for cookies.  Has been in the same family for the last 2 years – he has not bounced around.  100% sound. Never injured, never injected, easy keeper, healthy, and UTD on all care.
