On a budget? Looking for an ATHLETIC horse? Confident rider? Looking for something with a ton of eye appeal? “Bunnie” is a dainty 14.2HH 6/7 year old grade paint. One of the prettiest mares in the barn, she gets attention everywhere she goes. This mare does not have a mean bone in her body, in fact, she is actually very kind and loves attention. Bunnie formerly came out of an English program, where she went over small cross rails/verticals.  She is very sensitive/light and has a lot of body control. Bunnie has absolutely zero buck, cold back, rear, bolt etc. This mare is VERY honest, will never quit on you, and rides the same day in and day out. She lacks exposure and can be lookie/nervous/spooky in new environments. I think with a confident rider and more trail rides she would quiet down a ton.  Despite her lack of trail exposure, she is INCREDIBLY willing to go through the water – over the logs – through the woods – and over the bridge. I cannot stress enough how willing, kind, and trainable she is. This mare has never refused/said no. She picked up the side pass/pivot in just a few short rides, and loves to stretch down in the trot. She has even offered a few flying changes. She comes right back to you and has a rate-y style which I just love!  She is very “in tune” with a riders body language and would love the liberty work too. She has the right brain to do all the tricks (has been laid down a few times) and is a quick learner. With new things, she proceeds with a caution and always gives her best effort. Bunnie has no sourness or bad habits. The worst thing she will do is creep forward when being asked to stand still to mount. She is a more forward ride and will do best with a calm and confident rider that can reassure her along the way.  This mare thrives on praise and positive reinforcement.  I am in no way representing her as a babysitter/ packer for a beginner/timid rider. She is great in a stall but enjoys turnout and can go out with a herd of horses (low on totem poll). This mare loads, ties, is easy to catch, and good for vet/farrier. On the ground she is NOT watchy/snorty/stupid. The lesson program is needing a more beginner friendly mount, and Bunnie can be a bit tricky for tiny tots and nervous riders which is why she is being offered for your consideration. It is being fully disclosed that this mare will NOT pass a vet check, due to a right clubbed foot. Hence why she is being offered at a discounted price.  Current vet documents are available to view. This mare has a current coggins and recently had her teeth floated (age confirmed). She is currently barefoot and is not receiving any maintenance/ never injected. Bunnie is not marish and is safe to handle on the ground. Bunnie has been in our program for 60 days and we feel very confident in this assessment of her. This mare has had 1 baby, a beautiful half Connemara foal. Opportunities are endless – ride her or breed her. I think she would make a neat sporthorse project, jumper, western dressage, endurance horse, playday prospect, or liberty/trick mount. She is a great one if you are on a shoe-string budget. Our main priority is finding a suitable and loving home for her, feel free to make a respectable offer. Serious inquires only. Bunnie is located in Terrell, TX.
