Bonesprings

16.1H. 2011. OTTB. Gelding.

$10,000 - SOLD in 4 days!

He is tall…dark…and handsome!

Beautifully well started and cute 2011, 16.1H, OTTB gelding with a charismatic personality! “Bones” is absolutely a dream in the bridle, goes English & western, trail rides, jumps, and flats super cute! Above all, he is so sweet!

“Bones” spent many years post track getting a solid dressage foundation before he was purchased by an amateur rider 3 years ago. Bones rides relaxed on the trail, crosses bridges, over logs, and through water. He has a crisp flying lead change, side passes, comfortable to sit, and adjustable gaits. He has packed around inexperienced boyfriends and youth riders in the arena, and settles well off property! He is gentle, incredibly kind, and soft with a snaffle mouth.  He is a push ride, forgiving, and quiet. Would suit a confident youth, or an aspiring amateur who is looking to have a great riding horse. He is finished and very broke/confident on the flat, but is green over fences & needs a rider who can help support and encourage him over some of the “scarier” jumps. He jumps small verticals confidently, but will “look” at jumps with boxes/filler. I think with more schooling over fences, he would make a brilliant hunter/jumper. He is careful with his feet, great in his back, and a fabulous mover.

No vices, no buck/rear/bolt, zero lunge prep- just hop on & go! Easy to catch, loads, goes out with friends, can live outside or in the barn. Really good ground manners, and laid-back personality. Hacks out with friends or alone. Not your typical hot/nervous TB! It is worth mentioning that he has set back on my patience pole, as he seems to do better in my cross ties. He certainly is a quick learner, and took to my obstacle course/tarp very well! Whilst he doesn’t have a show record, he has a great brain and foundation to go in a program and do the hunters/jumpers, obstacle challenge, or western dressage! He won over 30k on the track, and retired sound. He has a few cosmetic marks on him but nothing that impedes his ability to be a performance horse.

Owner does not have the time to devote to him, and is currently getting legged back up. We will continue to condition him and school him over fences until sold. Here is a classic thoroughbred gelding, that is quick to learn and so easy to be around! He will not be sold with Jockey Club papers, as they have been lost in previous ownership, but his lip tattoo matches his Equibase information. He has never been injected, and not currently on anything special. He has had his teeth floated, recent chiropractor adjustment, wears front shoes, current coggins +shots, and is just a gentleman to have in the barn!  Located in Terrell, TX. Shipping can be arrange anywhere affordably.
