“Twister” is an incredible all-around mount that is sure to tick all your wish list boxes! Make room in your barn, because this gelding is one that the WHOLE family can enjoy! He sticks right between 15.2/15.3 hands, weighs a solid 1200#, and was born in 2009.  He is registered with the American Quarter Horse Association, with some of the best foundation lines in his lineage.  He has been ranched on, used extensively on a drill team, trail ridden, and is even mounted patrol certified – what a versatile gelding!   

Twister is as gentle and quiet as they come. If you are looking for a best friend in a horse, he is just that and more. NOTHING, let me put a double emphasis on N-O-T-H-I-N-G, fazes this gelding. He has been exposed to tarps, ATV’s, flags, smoke bombs, cattle, ranch equipment, traffic, trains, dogs, wild-life, advertisement banners, etc.  You can throw a rope off of him and drag a calf to the branding pit, drag logs, brush, or maybe you want to take your little one on a fun wagon ride (see video ;) ).   He has zero tricks up his sleeve, whether you are 96 or 3- Twister will take CARE of you.  Twister is such a forgiving and patient gelding; we love how easy going he is. Ride him once a year or 4 times a week, he is the same horse every ride. He is a pull from the pasture, hop on, and safely ride out kind of guy. Twister is a total gentleman on and off property. He loads like a dream and travels to new places easily, and is not spooky. He often performed at many large stadium drill events, and handled the loud commotion like a pro. Twister rides confidently over trail obstacles, and will cross over bridges, water, gullies, and ditches. You can gather, sort, and push cattle on the ranch & he will also ride out confidently alone or in a group. He is super sure footed on all kinds of terrain, rain or shine.

Twister rides one handed in a bridle, or with no bridle at all! He will collect into your hand, easily works a gate, side passes, back softly, has his flying changes, and stops on a dime. Enjoy his nice pitter-patter trot, or ask him to extend and move out – he will only go as fast/slow as you wish. He has nice crisp lope departures and moves well off leg. He has not offered to buck, rear, bolt, bite, kick. He is one of the very few horses I would 100% trust my youngest nieces and nephews with.  Twister has a tiny cosmetic scar on his back leg and his face, all purely cosmetic. He is super sound with great feet (he is shod), he is UTD on his care. Easy to vet, farrier, stands for clipping (Face, ears, muzzle etc), and will stand tied quietly for hours. He LOVES Mrs. Pastures Horse Cookies & grooming time with his person!  AQHA papers, coggins, etc, all in hand.  Twister does not require any special maintenance; he also has zero vices and gets along great with others. This is such an easy gelding to get along with and own.  Twister is worth his weight in gold, and we are excited to see him bring joy to another family. He is a solid gelding that anyone will be proud to own.  He is as safe as they come at the perfect age/size. Twister won’t last long on the market!
