"Jimmie" is a 20 year old 16 hand Thoroughbred Gelding with many more teaching years left in him! "Jimmie" is as sweet as they come with a puppy dog personality- he is cute cute cute!! Recently I was careflighted to a trauma center for a back and hip injury which put me out of commission for a month. I never hesitated when I pulled "Jimmie" out of the pasture after having a month off from a major spine injury- not only did he not miss a beat after having such great time off, he also was a confidence booster! I had a ton of fun filming his sale video for you guys; he brings so many smiles to the barn- he really is such a character! He is super brave both in the arena and out of trail and does not require much guidance from his rider. He would be an excellent asset to any lesson barn. He has the ultimate personality for a lesson horse; steady eddie, kind, forgiving, easy, and tolerant.  He has been used as a western and english riding horse for novice adults and has had a ton of outside trail miles. 
He loves to hit the trails and trail rides confidently. Trots brave up to the fences and will carry a rider over small verticals and cross rails.  He has a big lofty stride and a slow flowy canter. Stands like a gentlemen for mounting/dismounting and has no bad habits.  Real easy to ride, has a snaffle soft mouth, rides through water/brush, hacks in an open field, been around cattle, and rides through crowds like a champ. Jimmie will collect up and engage his hind end or will ride on the buckle. This is the ultimate lesson horse to learn on! Ride him western or English - this saint can do it all. Has a ranchy neck rein as well. This is the type of lesson horse you want in your barn! Like any thoroughbred he is a hard keeper so he is turned out during the night and comes into the barn during the day to be grained. He does lovely in a pasture setting and is lowest on the totem pole in my large pasture. Easy to catch- saddle- and bridle. Just a wonderful older saint gelding that is beyond gentle and quiet for an intermediate child that knows how to ride or for a novice adult- due to him having a large stride. Lunges on a lungetape well and goes barefoot. Jimmie does not have Jockey Club papers (no tattoo) and he has never raced.  Requires no maintenance, no prep, no naughty behavior- get on and go ride and have fun! Jimmie has been in the family for the last eight years so he is looking for a forever home that will enjoy him for years to come!
