Calling all cowboys! Now that I have your attention take a look at this gorgeous RED DUN heavy duty gelding. "Gomer"  is a thick 8 year old, 1200#, 15.2 hand grade quarter horse gelding.  Gomer is wide as he is tall, thickly built, with black big strong hooves.  They do not make them like this everyday, he is made heavy duty to get any job done. This gelding needs to be used, exposed, and trained on more. He hasnt seen very much of the outside of a round pen due to his owners not having the time for him. He was started late due to no fault ofhis own. Experienced or confident riders only please as he is green and needs more ground work and finishing under saddle. If you are a timid or beginner rider this is not the horse for you. Gomer would make a bang up pick up gelding, bull dogging, ranch, or roping horse! Just needs the right cowboy or cowgirl to take him there. Gomer collects up at the trot and wants to stay soft in a snaffle bit. He is learning how to move off leg pressure as well as neck rein but will need more work.  He will tie, and stand to be saddled, loads up into the trailer,  but in my opinion needs more sacing out and desentizing.  Supposedly has had 30 professional rides but in my opinion he rides more like an ill-mannered colt. He has bucked under saddle when his owners hat fell off which spooked him. Gomer is very easy to catch in the pasture and wants to be in your pocket. This is a sweet natured gelding that just needs someone to train on him more. No health issues and sells sound.  Strong barefeet-utd on farrier. Current coggins pulled in August.
