When Seconds Count

2008. 17H. 1300#. JC Reg. Gelding.

$10,000  Sold Congrats John!

Here is a fabulous FUN 3 day eventer/ jumper for an AA or skilled Junior rider!

*Count went to the Hidden Lakes Horse Show 4/7-4/8 and won CHAMPION in the 3' Jumpers*  This guy is the real deal!  Show videos coming soon!

“Count” is a lovely thoroughbred gelding with a warmblood type build and puppy dog personality. He is very sweet and has a huge honest jump! Count is a fabulous versatile mount- he has done 3 day eventing, been used as a lesson horse, and has been trail rode extensively. He has done the preliminary eventers and has jumped up to 1.30m. Count is very quiet and hauls wonderfully to new environments. This gentle giant goes in a simple snaffle and collects very easily – after jumping he comes right back to you and collects when asked – he is not hot/prancey.  He does have his changes and has 3 fabulous balanced gaits.  Count has given flat lunge lessons to kids and is very personable / easy to handle on the ground. I can not express how good minded and versatile this gelding is; he has even been exposed to tarps, cows, traffic and couldn’t be bothered by any of it!

Count’s owner is in College and does not have the time to ride/show any more – this is the only reason  he is on the market. Owner has brought him up the levels the last six years and would like to see him go to a loving show home where his talent can be used. The week of March 16-18th/  ‘18, Count and a junior rider participated in a Bernie Traurig clinic in the 3 foot division. Despite Count being a little out of shape they both did excellent. Count has a huge personality and would be a happy camper being some little girls dressage mount or an AA or juniors upper level jumper/eventer!

Count is sound, sane, healthy, and UTD on all care. No bad habits or vices. Never offered to buck/rear/bolt. He is parrot mouthed which does NOT affect him physically or in the ring at all. Count gets his teeth routinely floated every Summer. This gelding is lovely out in the pasture or in the barn. Turned out with a herd of horses and is low man on totem - pole. Walks right up to you in the pasture and loads straight into any trailer. Stays barefoot and has excellent feet. No lunge prep at the shows, ride him once a year or 5 times a week – he is the same horse every trip. Very minimal maintenance – never seen an injection. Loves attention and to splash and play in the pond! Truly a gem to have in the barn.

Count is located in Terrell TX, 40 minutes East of Dallas. Please direct serious inquires to Lily Bragg, 214-449-8028.
