“Rio” is one broke riding gelding with a huge sweet personality! It is always a pleasure to saddle up and ride Rio here on the Ranch because he is always so willing to please and is comfortable to ride. He is very soft and supple in his face & body which makes him easy to collect into the bridle. For the last four years with his owner he was used as a sorting/penning, trail, and ranch using horse. He often gave many trail rides and would be used on the weekends for fun sorting nights. Rio has a slow easy lope and a desirable trot to sit. Rio has a kind eye and a classic style to him, who doesn't love a red with some flashy white! This boy rides English & Western and has an excellent foundation for Western Dressage. Rio backs softly, side passes, counter arcs, pivots, works a gate, and is very soft in the bridle in just a plain D ring snaffle! Rio is quiet out on the trails and has no problems walking through thick brush, through water, or up big banks. Has been hauled to countless arenas and has been well seasoned. With such a sweet and loving personality, Rio is never in a hurry to get anywhere and rides very relaxed. Rio has seen all aspects of a working Ranch and requires no lunge prep before being used. He is not one to get cold backed on you and rides honest every ride.  Whatever job you need done – Rio is your dude! Here is a fabulous been there done that riding gelding that could make you a fabulous weekend trail blazer or ranch/sorting horse. This boy is also broke enough to go show Western Dressage – or low level traditional dressage!  

Rio is sound, UTD on care, and has a current coggins.  Barefoot and is turned out with a herd of horses. No naughty vices. He is a pleasure to handle and be around.
